description of the school
Our teaching is based on the Shotokan system founded by masters Anko Itosu and Gichin Funakoshi from the Shuri-te systems of the ryukyu Islands.
We teach different aspects of the system to children and adults so lessons are conducted separately. Children may join the adult lessons form the age of 16 if considered suitably mature by the instructors.
