Shobu Aikido of Houston is affiliated with Aikido Schools of Ueshiba, founded by Mitsugi Saotome Shihan, a principal student of Morihei Ueshiba, the founder of Aikido.
SHOBU means wisdom. Aikido is the study of wisdom and wisdom comes from understanding , trusting, controlling and seeing yourself clearly, without this knowdledge you will never be able to control others for your own protection or for the protection of those whom you love.
