description of the school
Maldon Karate Club was founded in 1976 by Les Birkin, (currently 6th dan).
Ray Widdowfield (1st Dan) then took control of the club followed by Pete Mason (1st Dan) Steve Gibbs (currently 5th Dan) took over in 1983 and is still running the club to present.
Present instructors at the Club includes, Steve Gibbs (4th Dan and H.K.K Chairman) and Chris Foxwell (4th Dan and National squad member).
Over the years Maldon has achieved excellent results in competitions, as high as international level, and our squad goes from strength to strength.
