As the name "Loyalist" suggests, the origin of this club recalls the geographical location from which it emerged. The United Empire Loyalists is a name which has been given to American Loyalists who resettled in British Colonies as an act of faithfulness to King George III after the British defeat in the American Revolutionary War.
