description of the school
Kodokai Aikido of Orlando has been a part of Central Florida for over 25 years. It was founded in 1980 by Minoru Oshima Sensei -- student of Koichi Tohei Sensei, Founder of the Ki Society. Since 1989, Kodokai Aikido of Orlando has been run by Eddie Muriel Castro Sensei, 5th dan, a 25+ year student of Oshima Sensei, 8th dan. All classes at Kodokai Aikido of Orlando are now taught personally by Castro Sensei, with the assistance of several of his yudansha (black belt) students, who also are certified instructors. Classes are held for both adults and children.
