description of the school
Aikido of South Florida was founded and is instructed by Stephanie Yap Sensei who has been training and teaching aikido for going on 20 years. Our dojo follows the same disciplines taught in the Iwama, Japan dojo, a discipline that Sensei Yap has become quite familiar throughout the 2 and a half years spent as an Uchi deshi (live in apprentice) under the late Morihiro Saito 9th dan who he himself was an Uchi deshi for the Founder for 24 years.
