description of the school
Aikido at the Center is affiliated with Utah Aikikai, the California Aikido Association, and the Aikikai Foundation. Chief Instructor Stephan McLaughlin has spent more than 15 years studying the art of Aikido. He began his pursuit of TakeMusu Aiki at Steven Seagal's Tenshin Dojo under Matsuoka Sensei. Stephan later continued his practice under the direction of Hugh Young Sensei, the founder of Utah Aikikai, and has maintained close ties with him and the Aikido community.
